Terms and Conditions

These terms govern applications to the WENOSA Scholarship Programme 2026.

1. The WENOSA Scholarship Programme 2026 is open to female South African citizens who are registered at a recognised South African public university and are in the final year of an undergraduate, Honours, Master's or Doctoral qualification during the 2026 academic year.
2. Applicants must have achieved and maintained a minimum academic average of 65% and demonstrate financial need.
3. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing qualifications in fields where female representation remains underrepresented, including but not limited to Engineering, Architecture, Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Agriculture, Mining, Energy, Logistics, Research and Innovation.
4. Applications open on 1 August 2026 and close on 31 August 2026 at 23h59. Late, incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications will not be considered.
5. Applications must be submitted through the official WENOSA application form. Applications submitted via email, social media, WhatsApp or any other channel will not be accepted.
6. Applicants may be required to provide supporting documentation, including proof of identity, academic records, proof of registration, fee statements and any other information deemed necessary by WENOSA.
7. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection or funding.
8. A maximum of 25 scholarships will be awarded, comprising:
   • 10 Undergraduate Scholarships
   • 15 Postgraduate Scholarships
9. Successful applicants may receive funding of up to R50,000, subject to demonstrated financial need, available funding and verified educational expenses.
10. Scholarship funding may only be applied towards outstanding tuition fees.
11. All scholarship funding will be paid directly to universities. No funds will be transferred directly to scholarship recipients.
12. WENOSA reserves the right to award a funding amount lower than R50,000 where the verified funding requirement is less than the maximum scholarship value.
13. Where outstanding fees are below the maximum scholarship allocation, the remaining balance will be reallocated to support another eligible scholar.
14. Where fees exceed R50,000, scholars must provide proof of additional funding to cover the remaining balance and ensure successful completion of their studies.
15. Successful applicants must maintain a minimum academic average of 65%, pass all registered modules and remain enrolled in the approved qualification for the duration of the scholarship period.
16. Scholarship recipients may be required to participate in programme evaluations, impact assessments, promotional activities or alumni engagements related to the scholarship programme.
17. Scholarship recipients grant WENOSA permission, where relevant, to reference insights from their research outputs in strategic reports, thought leadership publications and impact-related initiatives, with appropriate acknowledgement of the scholar's contribution.
18. Any false, misleading, incomplete or fraudulent information provided during the application process may result in immediate disqualification or withdrawal of scholarship support.
19. WENOSA reserves the right to verify all information provided by applicants and to request additional documentation at any stage of the selection process.
20. WENOSA reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw or cancel the scholarship programme or any part thereof should circumstances require.
